The business has lived through two world wars and in those difficult times customers pawned such items as sheets, towels and clothing. We still have ledgers dating back from the early years if you ask a member of staff they will be happy to show you). We run a friendly and confidential service with a private room to give our customers privacy. We lend money against gold and platinum jewellery, watches and other interesting items. Our trained staff will assess your items and offer you a loan to borrow against them (proof of identity will be required). Old gold, diamonds and jewellery,(even broken),bought for cash. Work shop on premises. We can melt down your old gold and make it into a new piece to the design of your choice. You can bring a picture or a sketch that can be made into the beautiful piece you require. We can sit down with you and discuss your individual needs. We supply gold, platinum, precious and semi precious stones to create that total individual piece. Maybe you want some sentimental gold from a loved one for your wedding ring, we can do this for you as well. All work carried out in our in house purpose built fully equipped workshop. Watch and jewellery repairs, engraving, cleaning and watch batteries fitted. Valuation for probate & insurance.
