Description:	Welcome to Brooks Care & Nursing Services “Care in the comfort of your own home” Val and Lyn are both registered nurses who met at Fair Havens Hospice. Whilst working together it was apparent to them that there was a gap in the provision of high quality care to service users in the community especially end of life. They decided to open their own care company which became Brooks Care and Nursing Services Limited, which was registered with the CQC (Care Quality Commission) in 2008. This is a community based service that offers a range of support options in the comfort of your own home. At Brooks Care we provide visits ranging from 30 / 45 / 60 mins to 24 hour care for the elderly and adults over the age of 18 as follows: Personal Care Social Care Day and night sitting services Respite Care Night Care Palliative Care Complex Care The company has grown slowly and steadily which has allowed Brooks to widen their diversity of care packages to the following areas: Canvey Island Benfleet Hadleigh Leigh-on-Sea Westcliff Southend Thorpe Bay Shoebury Great Wakering Rochford Hockley Hullbridge Rayleigh Referrals are accepting from Continuing Healthcare, Social Services, NHS and private clients. All of our staff are DBS (police) checked and all training is done in house. The company prides itself on delivering high quality individualised care. Brooks promotes communication and encourages a positive working environment. Our service is personalised to suit each individual and Brooks Care are extremely proud of their reputation and continuously strive towards excellence. Service users and families at Brooks Care are given the opportunity to voice any concerns or worries they may have regarding the care we are delivering. Carers are regularly booked in for supervision where they can discuss with the care managers any issues that may arise. Val and Lyn offer welfare support to all staff in an “open door policy” where they can come in and discuss any problems in complete confidence. Brooks has recently appointed a Quality Assurance Manager to ensure continuity and to maintain high standards of care throughout our service. An annual quality assurance audit is undertaken which includes Service Users / Staff and Health Care Professionals. Brooks are also in the process of seeking accreditation in Investors In People at gold standard. At Brooks Care we pride ourselves on the standard of care that we deliver. We believe that it is our attention to detail that sets us apart from any other company.
